Once upon an afternoon on Saturday
My Wife met her friends to eat and play
PACIFIC PLACE was the name of the Mall
The lighthouse and sailboats nicely decorated the hall
And as if we’re trying to match it all
The FISH & Co. was the restaurant we agreed to call
It should’ve been five women for which the table was ready to book
They’re all friends from German lesson they took
Although one of them was sick, and it’s only four I could look
They still had fun talking everything from their jobs to my wife’s cook
They used the word “Frau” to call a woman
As I understood, it meant “Miss” in German
And since “ich liebe dich” is the only German word I don’t abandon
For the fun of speaking, I wish I could speak German :-)
